Himawari Taiko is our new adult group that started just before the pandemic in 2020.
We are working in collaboration with the Clarendon Medical Multi-Disciplinary team, Dr Grainne McAnee at the University of Ulster and a co-production team of fabulous adults to explore using taiko drumming as a way to improve health and wellbeing.
‘Himawari’ means sunflower and this is a flower that became very meaningful to the group during lockdown and it symbolises the hope and dreams to grow ‘tall, strong and beautiful’!
