Foyle Obon 2018
We were delighted to celebrate O-Bon 2018 at the Playtrail on Saturday June 9th, which we transformed into ‘Little Tokyo’! This year we welcomed Tiffany Tamaribuchi, Karen Young, Shona Walker, Lucy Thomas, Lisa Oliver, Emma Middleton, Amy Naylor and Hannah Jasmine Brunskill for a celebration of women in taiko.
Some of the brilliant activities on offer were – Japanese games, Manga Art, origami, martial arts, calligraphy and or course beautiful Japanese music, dance and amazing Taiko drumming.
As the darkness fell, the evening culminated in the beautiful Toro Nagashi Lantern Ceremony.
